UAE to Tighten Review Process for Freelance Visas, Says Official
The UAE is set to tighten the review and auditing procedures for freelance visas, also known as the Green Residency, to ensure better regulation of the labor market, Khaleej Times reported, citing Emarat Al Youm.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), said the move aims to protect rights and maintain a fair balance in the market for all stakeholders.
The new measures are expected to enhance oversight and ensure that freelance residencies are granted only to those who meet the updated requirements, strengthening the integrity of the system.
